Which organisations do you work with?

International NGOs and mission-driven organisations, at headquarters and in country offices across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. I am based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and work remotely and on site.

Which donors do you have experience with?

Institutional donors including MoFA, the EU, FCDO, SIDA and BMZ, as well as a range of private foundations.

Can you review our grant budgets and donor contracts?

Yes. I check proposal budgets on cost eligibility, full-cost recovery and realistic assumptions, and review donor contracts on obligations, risks and clauses that need negotiation, before you sign.

Can you help us prepare for a donor audit?

Yes. I carry out spot checks, internal audits and audit readiness checks, and support you in following up on findings, at headquarters and in country offices.

Can you set up grants management for our whole organisation?

Yes. I design and set up the full grants management structure: roles and responsibilities, processes across the grant lifecycle, templates, tools and the link with your finance system, at headquarters and in country offices.

Do you write finance and compliance policies?

Yes, including procurement, FX, treasury, cash management, cost allocation and grants policies. I develop them together with the people who will use them, so they fit your culture and structure and actually get applied.

Do you take on interim roles?

Yes. I can temporarily lead a grants or finance function during growth or transition, or join for two to three years as embedded transformation lead.
